About Jill

I founded the company, Buds & Blooms Gardening based on my love of the outdoors and the support of my husband & family. 

​

I grew up in the city of Royal Oak and helped my family with small home vegetable gardens.  I have many fond memories working in the garden with my Grandfather. 

 

As I blossomed, I worked at several greenhouses gaining more knowledge and more love for the green industry.  I raised my children while taking horticulture classes, one at a time, and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Landscape Horticulture.

As my children are grown and have homes of their own, I am fortunate to dig even deeper into my love of so many new gardens.   My passion grows every year as I have expanded to include beekeeping, maple syrup making, eggs and a neighborhood community garden.

Along with working in the gardens of my community, I am also very active with 

Oxford Garden Club,

Association of Professional Gardeners,

Lake Orion United Methodist Church.

I have enjoyed dressing up and participating in the Fashion Show fundraisers for Oxford Women’s Club, as well as filling & delivering Christmas baskets for the Lake Orion Lion’s Club.  Our community is full of so many helping hands, and I am proud to be a part of it all!
