About Jill

I founded the company, Buds & Blooms Gardening based on my love of the outdoors and the support of my husband & family. 

​

I grew up in the city of Royal Oak and helped my family with small home vegetable gardens.  I have many fond memories working in the garden with my Grandfather. 

As I blossomed, I worked at several greenhouses gaining more knowledge and more love for the green industry.  I raised my children while taking horticulture classes, one at a time, and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Landscape Horticulture.

As my children are nearly grown and off to college, I am fortunate to dig even deeper into my love of so many new gardens.   My passion grows every year with new plants, new insects and new tools to help me along the way.

Along with working in the gardens of my community, I am also very active with 

Oxford Garden Club,

Association of Professional Gardeners,

Lake Orion United Methodist Church, and

Lake Orion Lions Club.

I have enjoyed dressing up and participating in the Fashion Show fundraisers for Oxford Women’s Club, as well as filling & delivering Christmas baskets for the Lake Orion Lion’s Club.  Our community is full of so many helping hands, and I am proud to be a part of it all!
